Mission Friends.....
The mission friends class is always busy with an
outreach project that glorifies God. Most recently each
child took a plastic egg home with them. They were to
do odd jobs and help out around the house in return
for money to put in their egg. The money raised in the
project went to help meet the church goal for the
Annie Armstrong Easter offering. Just before that,
they did a "Winter Warm-UP, Fill-UP". With this the
children colored flyers that were placed around the
church on brown bags to encourage church members to
place cans of soup in the bags. The kids and members
helped raise almost 50 cans of soup to help feed
hungry people in our community. Even though these
children are only 4 & 5 years old, they learn ways they
can do missions along with learning about God's love.
Mission Friends meet on Wednesday night at 7 pm and
is lead by Kathy Hume, who is also the Mission Friends
Director for the Tates Creek Baptist Association.
